Well, this is kinda awkward - I'm Monica and this is my blog and website. That previous sentence is proof-positive that even writers feel weird about simple introductions. Now that we have THAT out of the way, here's a little about me...
Passionate about books since I was a young girl reading well past bedtime; writing has been a pursuit for as long as I can remember, and now that passion is my career.
I believe connection with others is the one constant desire in life – family, loved ones, kindred spirits, etc. These threads hold us together no matter how the world evolves.
As a natural introvert who successfully masquerades as an extrovert, I find the complexities of these relationships fascinating. Often weaving intricate backstories in my head for entertainment, my mind has always been my refuge.
I aim to take readers on a journey of self-discovery and exploration with captivating stories. These are often based on my life experiences, personal interests, or current events. Focused primarily on fiction, I usually land at the intersection of ordinary characters in hypothetical near-future situations designed to make readers reflect even after the story ends.
When I'm not serving my canine overlord, I write things. In this blog, I focus on my writing journey and share random thoughts, ideas, and what has been grabbing my attention lately.
